AUTHOR'S INTERVIEW: AKHIRI MASEEHA BY AJAY KUMAR SINGH



Author’s Bio:

Sh. Ajay Kumar Singh, presently a govt. employee by work and an IT engineer by profession, born in Ghaziabad, UP and brought up in Delhi. Before joining Govt. Sector he worked in media and IT industry.  Like a common man you can find and feel him in your surroundings. He is hopeful who dreams about utopia. Little delusional, little agnostic, sometimes tries to become smart but after failing in it tries unsuccessfully to become a child. In last, in the pursuit of pass this exam of life, he picks up a pen and starts writing on a piece of paper. 



Questionnaire:


1) When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer ?
It was since childhood which was inspiring me to write something. 

2) How long does it take you to write a book ?
It took around 04 - 05 months in writing ‘Akhiri Maseeha’.

3) What is your work schedule when you are writing ?
Whenever I aspire to write something, nothing deviates much, however, I devote extra time in nights for writing and avoid outings on weekends to complete my writings.

4) What would you say is your interesting writing quirk ?
I write contemporary with fusion of psychology and exaggerated emotions. I also try to indulge illusions and delusions; loved to absolve these delusions in end. I try to write simple hindi language from the perspective of a common man’s IQ level. 

5) Where do you get your information or ideas for your books ?
I just look around and observe, whatever I feel fit for demand of the hour in respect of society.

6) What do you like to do when you're not writing ?
Watching movies, attending heritage walks in winters, hangout with my friends.

7) Tell us something about your novel/book ?
Busy in his everyday life, the novel's protagonist contemplating about mob violence and writing about it. There are some questions in his mind that, due to which a large number of people are gathered and become frenzy? What are those expressions that make the task of gathering big crowds easy? What are the circumstances when mob takes charge of violence? How we unknowingly become a supporter of a distorted ideology, and get involved in its propaganda irrespective of our inner voice? Since the Mahabharata, despite so many bloodbaths, why did not an ideal society flourish? Do we have to enforce improvement in ourselves or on to the others? Ideology dependent on hatred is right or ideology dependent on love?
 And,

8) What one of the most surprising thing you learned in creating your books ?
It makes me feel grounded and at peace.
