Questionnaire:

1) When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer ?
I still don't consider myself as writer, It's just that sometimes I feel like writing and stories happen. I feel that writing cannot be a profession, and when it is a profession ,it necessarily has to compromise with regards to quality. It's like that sometimes you feel like emptying yourself and writing occurs.

2) How long does it take you to write a book ?
Six months on an average to write a Book.

3) What is your work schedule when you are writing ?
No fix time ; but I usually write at night.

4) What would you say is your interesting writing quirk ?
I surprise myself with my writing. This is one quirk that I think probably surprises non-writers the most: even when we plan things out, our writing will often take a turn we didn’t expect. A character will reveal a secret we didn’t plan for, or make a decision that wasn’t in the outline, or do something that we thought was out of character until we realize we know less about his character than we originally anticipated. And personally, it’s something I’ll never tire of.

5) Where do you get your information or ideas for your books ?
Any weird thing can become your writing inspiration, sometimes a random thought,
A roadside talk which you happen to hear accidentally, or a incident from past which suddenly crosses your mind, a Book that you read 15 years ago... anything can become your inspiration. I even get inspiration from my dreams.

6) What do you like to do when you're not writing ?
When I am not writing, I would prefer reading.

7) Tell us something about your novel/book ?
The Novel "Ishk wale panne"(Hindi) and "Love Birds" is a story of a young boy, Shivansh and his journey to true Love. The story has three female characters, Dhwani ;who is 7 years younger than him, Mrs. Ghosh ;who is a widow and 15 years older than him and Vibha who is his colleague. The protagonist,Shivansh have relationship with all of these characters but of different kind with each character. The story also has a psychological perspective with some sets of internal monologues .The Book was originally written in Hindi as "Ishk wale panne"but on the insistence of my non hindi speaking friends ,I reproduced it in English as Love Birds.

And,

8) What one of the most surprising thing you learned in creating your books ?

You just create a character, and then nothing is in your hands, the story is created by these characters. The characters have a life of their own, very much like characters of real blood and flesh.
