Questionnaire:

1) when did you first realize you wanted to be a writer ?
Ans: At the age of ten, on a sleepover, in the middle of the night. Again, at the age of twenty-two.

2) how long does it take you to write a book ?
Ans: A short story takes about a week or two, longer one takes about a few months.

3) what is your work schedule when you are writing ?
Ans: To be honest I procrastinate a lot, but I make sure I write something daily… even if it’s not related to the story I’m working on.

4) what would you say is your interesting writing quirk ?
Ans: A sudden twist, or reveal in the end. It is somewhat similar to an unreliable narrator, but not quite.

5) where do you get your information or ideas for your books ?
Ans: I wish I knew! From a lot of places I think... my own experiences, places I’ve traveled to, from things that have tormented me, brainstorming, and so on.

6) what do you like to do when you're not writing ?
Ans: When I’m not writing, I’m reading, catching up with a friend, or holidaying with my family.

7) tell us something about your novel/book ?
Ans: The Murder Of Jay Shekhar is a brisk thriller, with a reveal in the end. Set in the backdrop of Indian cities, the story will take from the shores of Goa to the hills of Ramnagara, and the urbanized streets of Bangalore; it is a murky tale of lost love, jealousy, and murder. So far it has appealed both readers and non-readers, and I’m grateful for all the good reviews it has been receiving on Amazon and Goodreads.

And,

8) what is one of the most surprising thing you learned in creating your books ?
Ans: That I have more fun if I create on the go, rather than plot... A story can reveal itself to me, and all I have to do as the writer is listen and put it down. Also, that I can finish what I start, and be brave on the page.
